Located in the 9th arrondissement, the Marriott Opera is in the heart of Paris. If you love shopping, this is the hotel where you should stay. According to Google Maps, the hotel is just a three minute walk to the Galeries Lafayette and an eight minute walk to Printemps.
I stayed at a Superior Room with one king bed and daylong access to the club lounge. The room, located on the 6th floor (5th floor in France) was spacious enough, especially the bathroom.
From the room, I wasn’t able to see the Eiffel Tower. And, since there were offices across the street, I had to close the curtain.
At the lounge, I could see the Eiffel Tower from faraway. But, the view from the hotel wasn’t that impressive.
I had dinner at the lounge. Even though the room was small, there was plenty of food buffet style with a main menu (meat), grains (rice, bread), vegetables, fruits, cheeses, hams, snacks and drinks. I stayed there in January, so they prepared the seasonal drink : hot whine (vin chaud).
Breakfast was well served. There were various options and the restaurant had a vivid atmosphere.
The staff was nice and responded to my requests right away.
