Food Paris

Mam Thai

Hi, it’s me Marimonda!

Today, I’d like to introduce you Mam Thai, an authentic thai restaurant with reasonable price. Last week, I was craving for thai food and found this.

First Impression

After trying many Asian restaurants here in Paris, I didn’t expect a lot from this restaurant to be honest. The restaurant looked hip, but it was small so I hesitated to get in or not at first. There were only three tables outside and no indoor seat. My friend and I were asked to share the table with two ladies since there’s not enough seats.

The menu is simple but has all core thai food from padthai to green curry. We ordered two pad thai, one salad, and one sparkling water. The portion of the food was bigger than it looks, so we left the restaurant with full belly. I had a chicken pad thai and there were plenty of chicken inside. It went really well with crunch cracked peanut, and the lime juice from the fresh piece of lime added refreshing touch to the food. Everything was good, but it would be better if the sauce in the noodles. Since the noodles absorb the sauce very fast, the noodles got a bit dry in the end. I wouldn’t call it it’s the best thai restaurant in my life(the best one so far is See You Soon in Chiang Mai, in Thailand) , but I would call Mam Thai as the best one so far in Paris.

The price of each dish is very reasonable (€ 9 for main dish, € 3 for side dish, and € 1 for soda). For two, the bill was € 22 in total. Considering the fact we went there on the weekend, I would say it’s a good deal.

Enjoy your travel with Marimonda! See you soon 🙂
