Jeju Lotte Hotel Review

Hi, it’s me Marimonda.

Today, I’d like to share my experience in Jeju Lotte Hotel. I visited Jeju Island for 3 nights and 4 days in the beginning of the last month. If you’re curious of where to visit in Jeju, click here to see my previous article, and for the review of Kumho Jeju Resort where I stayed for two nights, click here. Jeju Lotte Hotel is one of the most luxurious hotels you may find in the Island.

LOCATION

The hotel is located in an unbeatable spot in Jeju. It’s in the resort town and very close to popular tourist destinations such as beach, Cheonjiyeon waterfall or Natural Recreation Forest. Moreover, it’s very easy to access restaurants or places to hang out at night. Compared to Kumho Resort, it’s definitely well-located. But also it can be a bit more noisy than the previous one.

ROOM TYPE

The room I stayed was Premier Ondol Room with garden view. It had two beds, one sofa and tea table in the room. One tea table and four chairs on the terrace. The bathroom has a bath so I could do some spa in the room after enjoying the outdoor pool. Three bottles of complimentary water were provided with Molton Brown amenities. Since we were five (two kids and three adults), we called to the hotel before booking to make sure that we can stay in the same room.

FACILITIES

Since it’s a five-star hotel, you would have fun without leaving the accommodation. Inside the hotel also has almost everything you might need from high-end restaurant to spa.

Garden

The garden is very well-decorated. There are so many places to take pictures. It is connected to the beach, so you can see amazing ocean view from the garden.

All-season Outdoor Spa ( He:on )

He:on may be the most popular facility in the hotel. The water in the pool is controlled between 29-32 ℃, so I could enjoy the pool even though it was cold outside. Jacuzzis are also available with higher temperature (35-38 ℃) . The warm water helped me to relax my body and mind.

The kids loved the outdoor spa. They played more than three hours and wanted stay longer. Some beach chairs are available for free. For someone who want more privacy, private cabana is also available with extra charge.

Restaurants

There are two restaurants, one bakery and two cafes(bar) inside the hotel. I had breakfast at Lake Plaza which is just next to the He:on. Breakfast buffet was very good. Previously, I wrote a review of Sofitel Luxembourg saying that the breakfast buffet was excellent (To see the review of Sofitel Luxembourg, click here ). Lake Plaza had more options with Asian food, and most of them were more delicious than eating in a famous restaurant. The price is quite expensive, too. It was 43,000 won per adult and 29,000 won per kid.

Fitness Club

Fitness club is on the 8th floor, at the corner of the building. The gym was smaller than I thought, but it has various equipments. It has a transparent window-wall toward indoor swimming pool. For the guest, access to the fitness club is free of charge. They also rent exercise outfit, shoes, or socks for free.

Indoor Swimming Pool

Next to the fitness club, indoor swimming pool is located. Unlike He:on was included in the room rate, we should’ve paid to use indoor pool. Thus we didn’t use it. But the swimming pool was almost empty, so if you love swimming, it would be a good idea to check out here. The entrance to the pool is 15,000 won but for the guest 7,500 won. Unlike the outdoor pool, swimming cap is mandatory and you can rent everything you need from the reception with extra charge.

V SPA (coming soon)

On the 8th floor of the hotel (The lobby floor), you can get massage or spa treatment at V Spa. Here, you can get tuse prestige spa products from ‘Valmont’ and ‘Thalgo’. Since it will open in January, 2020, the price is unknown yet. I would update more info, when they begin the service.

PRICE AND SERVICE

Price

Price for one night may be affected by season or other special holidays. The room rate was about 300,000 won. Including the breakfast buffet, the total price I paid was a bit more than 400,000 won for one night. Considering that it’s out of vacance season, I felt it was expensive. But since I reserved the place a week before the trip, I couldn’t complain.

Service

All staffs in the hotel were super kind and professional. One free-valet service is provided per stay. Free shuttle bus from/to the airport is also available. For details, contact the concierge service.
